The democrat party should be banned. They were the ones fighting to keep slavery.

It may be old historical statues today, but tomorrow it will be something else that bothers the lunatics left, then it will be your freedom and liberties, then it will be your life.

So does this mean that there will be racial harmony and bliss in Richmond now? Richmond sacked their only real tourist attractions for the city. There used to be a fair amount of Civil War tourism that came to Richmond. Now? There really isn't anything exceptional about RVA, other than some foody places.

Does RVA now expect that there will be a flood of African American tourism to the city of nonconsequence?

Civil war was about money and control. Europe was willing to pay more for unrefined cotton and tobacco than American industry of the north. Banksters weren't having it! They manufactured a moral emotional war cry about slavery... becsuse who cares whether super rich men lose money via Capitalisistic hidden hand "supply and demand" fair trade contract costs. Banks had invested fortunes setting up American mills and were eager to see a return... voila' ! " sell to us or we'll dedtroy you" ... Southern men flipped them the bird... Civil War... Lincoln was killed by the same cabal... he wanted to kick out the central bank (again) and introduced the "Green Back" currency distributed by the US Treasury... as it should be. The banksters murdered him for it...

The statues represented healing. They embodied the idea that former enemies can come together again as brothers. Go ahead and raise statues to your honored dead. The modern Left has no such accomodation or kindness. You are either inside the Holy Church of Woke or you are an enemy outside it. No compromise. No inclusion, no diversity.

Since every government in the world supported slavery until quite recently, shouldn't all statues be taken down? Shouldn't the cities they built be razed to the ground and the land they stand on sown with salt? Isn't the language you are writing in tainted beyond redemption by its intimate association with slavery? What about your genes? Don't you have ancestors who owned slaves? What do you propose to do about your genetic moral failings?

If you believe the civil war was about slavery then they had “moral” failings maybe. Lincoln dint care about slavery or black people. Lincoln views black people as inferior and actually shipped a good many to Liberia. This was about States sovereignty States rights. It was a war started by Lincoln for the benefit of northern new England era who manufactured goods and his rail road buddies he hooked up with Govt funding ie corporate welfare to expand the railroad west.

Neither of you are right. It was about the Central Bank - Lincoln wanted it removed. Remember the term Green Backs? Yes? Decentralized money system. Why do you think he got assassinated? What? you think it was about slavery LOL.

Who are the larger slave holders? The Confederates or the current government of the United States? Think carefully how you answer that question. Are any of us truly free?

Let me just add: These heathens have no end to their appetite for destruction. Keep in mind they are moving the remains of the deceased. This is how little respect they have for anything, living or dead. Ultimately they hold you in the same regard, on difference being you aren't remains, yet.

Deo vindice.

If you asked a union soldier why he was fighting, he'd say to preserve the union. If you asked a confederate soldier the same thing, he'd say because you are here, invading my country. Slavery was legal in all states prior to and after the Revolution. There's not much of a union left if you ask me, you'll see states go their own way soon.

the civil war was a struggle to demonstrate who the inherently superior foundational American class of people was: the Puritan-descended abolitionist Bostonite, or the Southern Gentleman farmer. The Puritans whipped the Farmer, burned their land and emergent cities, and then heard the lamentations of his women.

The Puritan's issue is that he was too gracious in his victory. The Farmer's descendants think they are owed something. Soon it will be time to whip the Farmer again. PEACE from Boston, MA!

The U.S. Constitution is silent on the issue of secession. Therefore, secession is NOT unConstitutional, and does not equate to taking up arms against the government. Ergo, secession cannot equal "treason." War was forced on the Confederate states by that evil white person, Lincoln.
