From the time she was 16 years old, Prisha Mosley was, as she puts it, “set on a path of medicalized ‘gender transition’.” Beset by a catalogue of devastating mental health afflictions, some of which doubtlessly stemmed from a teenaged rape, the young woman at some point apparently decided that the source of her ailments was “gender dysphoria,” the belief that she was in fact a boy residing in the misbegotten body of a girl.
